Robert has been doing fiber arts (crochet and knitting) for over 10 years. Most of his projects have been for his friends and family. Some projects were donated to the children's hospital to make some of the children’s days that much more enjoyable. For him this is a hobby that helps him relax and unwind. He also enjoys the smaller crafts such as toys (amigurumi) and blankets. Some of his creations are pictured. All pictures are the property of Robert Litwin. Hobbies, volunteering, and background.
Robert has many hobbies that he enjoys fiber arts, painting, drawing, playing some video games, cycling, rodeos, hiking, traveling (cruises), writing (published author), LGBTQ+ activities.
Robert has also volunteered with AIDS Walk San Francisco, Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon and the American Cancer Society relay for life.
Robert grew up in a small town in Michigan. He lived on a ten acre farm that his father had. Robert assisted his father with the chores of the farm. He ran cross county and track as well as wrestled in high school. Robert met his husband Steve in 1999. Which is when he came out as gay. They have been together for over 25 years and married for 15.
Family at a glance
Family is a central part of Robert’s life. He grew up with two brothers and two sisters, and he remains especially close with his youngest siblings. At home, he shares a joyful life with his husband, Steve, celebrating 15 years together built on love, support, and shared adventures. Robert is also a proud uncle to two nieces and three nephews, and he treasures every moment spent with the people who inspire and encourage him every day.

New book coming soon:
Robert is working on a new LGBTQ+ western themed book. Charaters include a father who has an idea his son may be gay but doesn’t know how to bring up the topic. The son is hiding a secret and his boyfriend is not happy about it. They are also training to compete in a rodeo. Father and son grow closer s they learn more about each other.
